Bridge

Chimi's built-in Bridge lets you move your crypto from Ethereum mainnet to the Base network in one click, right inside the app — no external bridge websites and no manual network configuration.

When to use it

If you already hold funds (like ETH or USDC) on Ethereum mainnet, you don't have to move them to Base yourself before investing. Chimi detects them and offers to bridge them to Base for you.

How it works

  • Chimi uses the Relay protocol to move your assets across chains securely.
  • The Bridge is gasless — Chimi covers the network cost of the transfer, just like the rest of the app, so you don't need to hold ETH to pay for gas.
  • The Bridge is non-custodial — you keep control of your funds the whole time. See No Custody.
  • Funds usually arrive on Base in ~1–2 minutes (allow up to ~5 minutes when the network is busy).

Step by step

  1. Log in to Chimi. If you have funds on Ethereum mainnet, you'll see a prompt: "You have funds on Ethereum — send them to Base to start investing."
  2. Choose the token and the amount you want to bridge.
  3. Confirm the transaction. Chimi handles the cross-chain transfer for you.
  4. Wait a couple of minutes and refresh your balances — your funds will appear on Base, ready to invest.

Tips

  • Already have funds on Base? You don't need the Bridge — just deposit and start earning.
  • Always double-check amounts before confirming.
